 Dear Friend. Before I tell you how you can hope against hope let me define what it means. It simply means to continue, even when what is hoped for seems unlikely or impossible. Life is a series of twists and turns. It’s not every day that things will go the way you want them to. I have found that when I decide to do something, opportunities don’t seem to come my way. The key is not to give up but to hope against hope. Step 1 is to always remain expectant. Most times you are tempted to host a self-pity party but that will not work. Pick yourself up and keep believing that your situation will change for the better. Step 2 just trust God. His ways are not your ways and neither are His thoughts your thoughts.  Dear Friend I was about to sleep when this message hit me and I just had to get my laptop out and start typing. I’m doing freelance writing and as someone who is starting with no experience at all, I have applied 5 times and each time it has been a rejection. Then I suddenly realise that I’m not good enough for them just yet but it doesn’t mean I should stop. I’m learning and practising till they can’t afford me This is what I want to do. I want to inspire people through my writing and I want to let them know that God loves them.  Have you been asked why you aren’t dating? I guess if you are a young person like me...this sounds familiar. So here is some real truth. Dating someone else just because you are heartbroken 💔 doesn't help at all. Take time to grieve because if it doesn't hurt then just like Moffat Machingura says... perhaps there was nothing worthwhile Don't break more hearts just to heal your own. It doesn't work like that. Dear friend Stop putting so much pressure on yourself. You don’t have to have everything figured out.  It’s okay not to know how you are going to work through tomorrow, none of us have it all figured it out anyway. I like how Nick Vujicic says…Man plans, God Laughs…boy if you read his book love without limits you will see what I mean. It just shows you that sometimes your plans can go haywire but that is not the end of the world. I’m mot saying don’t be organized. No, you need to have a plan because as they say, failing to plan is planning to fail but all I’m saying you need to loosen up a bit. When was the last time you had a meal with your family, when was the last time you forgave yourself.  Yes I said it, forgive yourself. Dear friend Here is what to do when you have something bothering you.  Oh yeah its been a while hasn’t it, I hope you have been well…I’m back here to motivate you and chat with you so keep reading. With this pandemic, panic, uncertainty and worry has arose in most of us. I have not been spared but I have realized that there are ways that you can deal with whatever is bothering you. One thing that that I have found most helpful is to find someone to talk to. It could be a friend, your parent, girlfriend, boyfriend, spouse or even a counsellor.  That’s when you will begin to realise that the problem may not be as big as it sounds in your head. Better still you could get to realise that you are not the only one going through that and you could get advice on how to deal with it.  Dear Friend My geography teacher Mr Chitatu back in high school used to tell us that if you see a mad man and he starts talking to you...listen to him, he might be telling you that he has discovered a diamond deposit and that could be true. I now realise that it was his way of telling us that inspiration can come from the most unexpected places. If someone talks to you, listen to them, dont quickly discard them because of the way they are dressed or because they look different from you.   Dear Friend I have not posted in a while and I hope during that time you have kept growing. I want you to understand something crucial to your personal development and growth and that is developing a support structure. These are the people you can lean on, you cannot go through life on your own, you cannot fight the battles alone and most of all you can't be running the race and cheering yourself at the same time. In life there there comes a time when you just have to let go and surround yourself with a positive influence that will build you, stregthen you and propel. God will use people to elavate you. So take time to demote or promote or even delete in your circle. Take inventory and promote those that  elevate you and delete those that devalue you.  Dear friend It's so heartwarming when your work gets such amazing response. Once again Kudzai took her time to overwhelm me with another response to the be original post that is worth sharing with you Be motivated by her comment...   Dear friend I have always wanted to climb a mountain but I didn’t realize what a task it would be.   So finally the day came when I had to climb a hill but to me the thought of having to see the city from a ‘mountain top’ for me was more than enough.   Climbing was not easy, the panting, short breath and sweat didn’t deter me. I just kept on going.   Finally, I made it…the view was just phenomenal…the greenery spectacular and breath taking. I thought the lesson that I would learn was that success is sweat the usual nuggets but something just happened. As I looked at the cars on the Christmas Pass…for those who don’t know it…the Christmas Pass is almost a kilometer, meandering road that ushers travelers into Mutare and there are carefully manicured bushes with the words ‘welcome to Mutare’   From the Christmas Pass you can see an amazing view of Mutare with a mesmerizing drop back of the landscape of the Eastern Highlands.   So back to the ...

  Dear friend For a while I stopped posting, I got discouraged. I thought I wasn’t helping anyone. I dint know if anyone was being touched if so why would a post just have one view and on top of that…my view.  Then I came across a video teaching me that every worthwhile thing takes time. From meeting the right guy, getting good grades or even fulfilling your purpose. Even God did not create everything in one day…He took His time. There must be a reason we have to consider. It’s like planting a tree. No matter how good the seed is nor the soil is…it will always take time to grow. So here I am, posting again…being patient enough to know that God will touch lives.  Dear friend, its so important that you do reflective thinking. After reading John C Maxwell's How successful people think...I got to understand how much its important to set aside time to think, most importantly for reflective thinking.  Reflective thinking is simply taking your time to go over what you have gone through. It doesn't simply mean what you have achieved or some mission to worry about your problems but you get to go over your day.  You don't restrict yourself to achievements and failures but you look at everything. In that process you get to learn from your mistakes and you begin to realise the opportunities that lie in your problems because now that you are settled...you don't overreact.  Then you celebrate what you did right, make a note to yourself and you give yourself credit for growing. Just give it a try and not everyday will seem like it was a flop Be motivated With love Monica 

It has been a while since I posted on my blog. I didn't think I would resume because of issues beyond my control but by God's grace...here I am, talking to you again. Dearest Friend...just don't give it up.  Just because you do not see a way does not mean God is not doing something. You have to admit...you cannot do this on your own and you need God to help you.  When you begin to understand this, that's when you don't give up...because you understand that you did all you could and God is now stepping in. Dear Friend At times we all have dreams. Dreams of becoming a better song writer, dancer, scholar or even a better friend or husband but we look at where we are and see dark clouds. See beyond those dark clouds. Look at the rainbow shining at the end of  that storm because it is not about where you are but where you are going. You know the real formula is realising that God makes it possible.Remember David and Goliath...David knew that it was going to be God's part of making Goliath fall and he understood that and that gave him courage.
